A total of 782 passes have been approved under the new MM2H scheme since its introduction in 2024. This was stated by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Seri Tiong King  Sing, in his February 2025 parliamentary reply. This brings the total number of passes to 58,468 since the original program was announced in 2013. Of these, 28,528 were for main applicants and 29,940 for dependents. The Silver category was the most popular in the latest program with 260 main applicants, followed by the Special Economic Zone (SEZ)category with 43 applicants, Gold with nine and Platinum with seven.

The largest group of applicants came from China, followed by Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
