On December 11, 2025, KTMB launched the Electric Train Service (ETS) extension from Gemas to Johor Bahru, with commercial operations starting on December 12. This milestone completes the electrified double-tracking project, introducing four daily return trips between KL Sentral and JB Sentral and strengthening Malaysia’s west coast railcorridor.
