In less than 2 years since the latest MM2H program was launched, Malaysia had received 7650 applications resulting in an economic value gained of RM 8.50 billion, broken down into RM 5 billion for properties and RM 3.82 billion in fixed deposits. This is according to Deputy Tourism,Arts and Culture Minister, Chiew Choon Man in a dinner gathering of MM2H agencies and stakeholders.

The top 5 applicant countries came from China with 3847 applications,Taiwan with 1054 applications, Hong Kong with 324 applications, Singapore with 287 applications and US with 284 applications.
